Please let me know asap if you are interested in participating as I need to hold enough ice for the confirmed teams. Senior Men's Hockey Tournament RulesSENIOR MENS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT RULES Rules:
The highest level of sportsmanship is expected from the coaches, players and officials both on and off the ice. Any behavior otherwise will not be tolerated. All players must have proof of USA Hockey membership.
This is a non-checking tournament.
If a player receives three (3) penalties in one (1) game, he will be ejected for the remainder of that game only.
Any Major Penalty for Fighting will result in an AUTOMATIC SUSPENSION from the tournament.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to suspend any team from the tournament for actions which, in the opinion of the Tournament Director, are not in the “best interest” of the tournament or the “spirit” of amateur sports. This may include, but is not limited to the recommendation of Game Officials for conduct on the ice as well as conduct off the ice such as fighting, vandalism and destruction of property. Any team suspension will result in the forfeiture of remaining games without the refund of tournament fees.
Games:
There will be an ice cut between each game. All games will consist of three (3) 25-minute run time** periods. **Please inform your team that the clock will continue to run during altercations. All minor penalties will be 3 minutes. Major penalties are as specified by the USA Hockey rules.
Games will begin immediately at the end of a (5) minute pre-game warm-up.

Each team is allowed one (1) “TIME-OUT” per game. Only one time out can be called at a stoppage. Time-out will be 30 seconds in duration.
No overtime in the case of a tie unless it is the championship game.
Referees will make all decisions regarding play on the ice.
All players participating in this tournament must wear equipment, which meets the requirement of USA Hockey, as defined in the current rulebook.
Championship Game: All tournament rules apply. Should the score be tied after regulation, there will be a five-minute overtime sudden death format. The overtime will start 1 minute after the conclusion of the 3rd period. There will be no time outs allowed during overtime. It will be played in a 4 on 4 format. If the score is still tied after sudden death, if time permits there will be a shootout, however, if there are time constraints the champions will be chosen by: 1. Wins 2. Head to Head Record 3. Fewer Penalty Minutes 4. Fewer Goals Against 5. Greater Goals For 6. Fewer Head to Head Goals Against 7. Greater Head to Head Goals for
If time permits, shootout will use the following format; each team will pick five (5) different shooters (referee will record the names of the shooters) prior to the game, who will alternate shooting on the opposing goalie, home team shooting first..
